Since the mayor cancelled the official Rise Festival this year I've heard there may be a break away one organised?

Anyone else heard this? Are you going?

Gutted it was cancelled - I loved it.

No Finfest in Clissold Park this year either because they have decided it's got too big for the park and is dangerous

Alas Rise is definitely canceled - for now - but you can show your support by signing the petition to bring it back, joining the facebook page and spreading the word!

You will all be pleased to year that there IS a replacement Rise festival Picnic in the Park this year! organised by a group called UpRise. They have a website www.UpRise.org.uk or you can follow them on twitter: www.twitter.com/SaveRise and also on facebook.

the plan is to meet on the field where the main stage for Rise used to be, near Seven Sisters Road from 2pm - 7pm on Sunday 12 July 2009. for more details email. SaveRise@googlemail.com.

Hopefully you will be pleased to hear that there is indeed a replacement Rise Festival Picnic in the Park happening this Sunday!

the plan is to meet on the field where the Rise main stage used to be, near the Seven Sisters Road (look out for a 'Save Rise Festival' banner) 2pm - 7pm on Sunday 12th July 2009.

Bring food, bring drink, bring music and instruments, and most of all, bring a big smile!!...
