The Pubs in Finsbury Park are a complete wash out, or at least a couple of them could do with a complete wash out. One of the main Pubs is filthy, so bad that it stinks, & most of those that drink in there look like they need a good bath.
The Twelve Pins is the cleanest, but the hard wooden floor & the stools & small tables are off putting, it is crowded at times if a match is showing on the screen, or if a match is being played at Arsenal Stadium then you cannot get in the doors, & if you do you will not be able to get to the counter to order a drink, & you will be pushed & shoved etc & generally have to stand.
If you want a night out in the Pub then travel elsewhere, hop on the tube & go to Southgate, some very nice Pubs there, most of the Pubs around Finsbury Park are not up to much.

RE: pubs in Finsbury Park - The Stapleton at the top of Stroud Green Rd is decent, the fullback is decent (on perth road off stroud green road)
