My boyfriend watched Harry Potter and it cost him £305!
On the Eurostar back from France, to kill time, my boyfriend decided to put on Harry Potter on his ***** mobile. Probably thinking the film file was equivalent to one sitting on a computer desktop in that he wouldn't be "downloading data" as such, and therefore the data transfer would be a minimal cost - as with all his other use. HAHA, NOT SO.
Normally the Telecomms company notify the user of changes in charges for the area and sms you again if you exceed your roaming data quota of 25mb per day. So you'd think a txt message would warn him in advance (or so he thought too). However it seems that ****** have gone ahead *without warning him* and added a whopping £305 to his monthly bill for watching this one film!
Now this has given him something to talk about! Perhaps he should have just chatted to me on our return journey instead? Hehe :)
