This is an illustrated walk round Finsbury Park lead by Hugh Hayes, who wrote the history of the park 'A Park for Finsbury' in 2001, was chair of the Friends of Finsbury Park (FoFP) from 2000-2006, and helped organize the Heritage Lottery fund award for the FoFP in 2007.

In 2009, Hugh and others also founded the 'Finsbury Park Community Gardening Project', a charity that organizes the community garden inside Finsbury Park at Manor House Lodge.

Meeting point: Finsbury Park Gates, next to Lidl, Seven Sisters Road at 3pm on Sun 19th Sept.

A charge of £3 will go to the charity 'Finsbury Park Community Garden Project'. Hugh will also have copies of his book for sale (64 page with color pics for £4.99 - all monies go to the FoFP).

Date: Sunday, September 19, 2010
