Travel over the Christmas weekend

The Christmas weekend will see changes to local buses, trains and tubes - here's our Christmas travel roundup.
Tubes
Tubes
will both run a Saturday service on Christmas Eve until 7pm, and less frequently between 7pm and midnight. Last train times from Finsbury Park will be 23.38 southbound/00.14 northbound on the Victoria Line; and 23.22 westbound/00.32 eastbound on the Piccadilly Line.
There will be no tube services on Christmas Day.
A
tube strike has been called for 26 December. If the action goes ahead,
disruption to tube services is likely throughout Boxing Day. London
Underground will attempt to run as many trains as possible but services
may be delayed and sections of the Underground closed.
If
there is no tube strike, a Sunday service will operate from around
8.30am on Boxing Day. Buses will also operate a Sunday service from
around 8.30am.
From Bank Holiday Monday 27 December to Thursday 30 November, all London Underground lines will run a Saturday service.
Buses
On Christmas Eve, buses will run a Saturday service,
and 24-hour buses will not run after midnight. No buses will run on Christmas day. From Boxing Day, 26 December to Tuesday 28 December, most buses will operate a Sunday service. A Saturday service will run on 29 and 30 November.
Trains
First Capital Connect services will operate as timetabled until around 8pm and then begin to shut down, with no trains after 10.45pm. There will be no FCC trains on either Christmas Day or Boxing Day.
Planned engineering works over the next two weeks mean FCC trains will not be calling at Kentish Town or operating between King's Cross and London Bridge - check before you travel.
National Express East Anglia services will run as normal during the daytime on Christmas Eve, finishing by 8pm. No NEEA trains will run on Christmas Day. A Saturday service will operate for the remainder of the week.
General
Changing
weather conditions can mean longer journey times and last-minute
alterations to the timetable, so leave extra time and always check
before you travel at the TfL website.
Mst flights are now operating out of Heathrow Airport today. The advice remains to check the live departure board at www.heathrowairport.com and
to confirm with your flight operator before leaving for the airport.
