In common with most plantlife in town this month, Finsbury Park Community Gardeners is overwintering at the moment, but the group are still on the lookout for ideas and contributions for spring next year, The Community Gardeners built and maintain the wildlife garden around Manor House Lodge, and in the growing season they meet on the first Saturday of each month at 10am.

It's cold out there now, but Finsbury Park Community Garden wants to share gardening ideas on their new blog
The Community Garden is a mixture of wildlife areas including a
large pond, and herbaceous borders with indigenous flowers. The garden
was created with local children, volunteers and the Finsbury Park
Homeless Families Project. Set up for local people who perhaps have no access to a garden and who
enjoy gardening, it is also used by local primary schools and businesses.
Over 70% of local households have no garden, and the Community Gardening Project creates a permanent garden for everyone to use and enjoy. All are welcome to help tend the garden monthly.
The group are now creating a blog with information about gardening and wildlife, community and vegetable
growing, green and organic ideas and general gardening tips. If you'd like to contribute, comment at the blog, on the Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/FPCGardeners) or by email to fpgardeners@btinternet.com
Share your spring gardening tips below too!
