Stroud Green pub The Larrik has had a facelift and is relaunching as The Stapleton Tavern, billing itself as "a proper pub" with food, ales, wines and live entertainment.

The Larrik is dead, long live The Stapleton!
The pub, on the corner of Crouch Hill and Stapleton Hall Road, has been refitted by pub company Antic Ltd, a small group who also run the popular Dogstar in Brixton and pride themselves on a back-to-basics approach that nevertheless provides extraordinary experiences in ordinary venues.
The Stapleton is now open for business from 4pm weekdays and from 12noon at weekends; the kitchen will be opening soon. Pub managers are currently on the lookout for musicians and live entertainers - if you have a band and would like to play Stroud Green, contact the bar staff or leave your details at the bar.
The pub will be formally relaunching with a big opening party soon - we'll keep you posted! Or follow The Stapleton on Facebook for more information.
