Parveen: A spicy oasis this festive season

Great Indian food can be hard to

find in Islington and its surrounding areas, and I've often had to travel further afield to cure

my curry cravings. But one restaurant that's ticking all the right boxes

is Parveen on Theberton Street serves tasty, contemporary Indian cuisine that's quite unlike anything else you'll find locally or in town.

Parveen was established back in 1977, but has has another incarnation

since then as a French restaurant. It's now back to serving Indian

cuisine, which is undoubtedly what it does best and you can enjoy a full

range of dishes for both vegetarian and more meaty diets in a stylish

and friendly setting. The food itself is some of the best curry we've

had in Islington, and it seems plenty of critics agree: Parveen has been

praised for its cuisine in Time Out, the Good Food Guid and gets

regular mentions in the Evening Standard

Not everyone loves turkey and all the trimmings, and while the

traditional boxing day turkey curry is a tradition in many households,

you can be sure you'll find something a little more sophisticated at

Parveen. The restaurant is going to be open throughout the festive

season, so is well worth bearing in mind as a getaway or a good place to

meet friends when you're starting to feel cooped up at home this

Christmas!

Want to make a booking over the next few days? You can book online over at Parveen's site or call them on 0207 226 0504
