RE: muggings in Finsbury Park

It is a shame that when I got mugged that night (I am the man who is in his 20s) I got two rather sarcastic police officers turn up at my home and not even bother to go back to the park despite it being only ten minuets after everything happened. I was later admitted to hospital after being beatten by these guys for about 10mins; I was kicked and punched in the head. It felt like these officers were only going through the motions and were resenting the paperwork that I had caused them. I had to have an x ray and was treated for concussion. Anyway, when I called the officer in charge to ask about what was being done, I was told that I 'should not have been in the park at that time'. Charming.
The police did not offer any help and, as far as I know, have only checked the CCTV footage 25mins either way of when I was attacked. They did not find anything. If you are still reading this isin't it nice to feel safe and guarded in your own back garden? Why have the park open if the police know that this is happening?
Please take extra care and don't expect much from Det Chief Inspector Lee Presland of Haringey CID and his chums.
Has anyone else had any results in justice?

My son had his bike stolen from his hands in Chestnut Park, Tottenham. I received the letter "insufficient evidence"... I had my car damaged two weeks ago by someone throwing a ceramic plant pot at it (!) Needless-to-say I have the same sentiment as RJC, the local police go through the notions and I'l probably get the same letter again. I hope not, I hope I get justice, but I won't hold my breath.

ReportMy son had his bike stolen from Sobell Centre; by the time the police got round to following up the Centre had written over the CCTV! Hope you recover sooner rather than later; it must have been a terrifying ordeal.
