120 minutes of badminton at Sobell

So last night I turned up at Sobell Leisure Centre to play a few games of badminton with my friend Brian.

I was a little surprised to discover him already at the end of an hour of badminton with another friend, but he assured me that far from being uselessly exhausted he would be nicely warmed up for our game.

And so he was - we drew, one set each.

At which point (120 minutes of badminton later) he revealed that our game too had merely been a warm-up and he was off to Cambridge to take part in a ballroom dancing competition.
