The Healthy Spaces scheme which launched last week offers estate residents the chance to register for their own grow bag. The builders' bags are filled with compost and placed on the unused Pewsham House site ready for residents to start to grow their own healthy produce.

The scheme was set up by Berkley Homes and Hackney Homes after residents asked to do something with the empty space.

Isn' t it rather crazy that this is being provided just next door to some rather beautiful gardens lovingly tended by the residents proposed to be bulldozed by - guess who, Hackney Council and Berkeley Homes! Space for more grow-bags? Something rather odd here.
