Cider-drinkers ready to rejoice as racecourse is Wurzelised

The fourth annual cider festival returns to Bath Racecourse tomorrow.
This is event has been a highlight of the season and possibly the most popular racing fixture at Bath Racecourse.
People can sample a host of local and national ciders across the course with the evening climaxing in a live performance from the West Country legends The Wurzels after the racing.
The West Country legends will be performing tracks from their latest album, entitled
The famous Scrumpy and Western band have put their distinctive west country stamp on this fine collection of classic contemporary hits.

Singer Pete Budd said: “The Wurzels are the only band consistently making fun songs.
“Musicians are all so serious these days, they seem to be concerned that having some fun and making people smile might be bad for their image, but it’s also bad for listeners if the fun element of songs is gone forever.”
The Wurzels’ greatest hits album on EMI recently topped 80,000 sales and the predecessor to this album 2002’s
The band continue to play more than 100 shows a year to sell out crowds all over the country, with regular festival appearances at Bestival, Guilfest, Finsbury Park and Glastonbury.

This release is the second in the ‘Bullocks’ series and the band have addressed that winning formula and are still Wurzelising hits in the 21st Century.
The first race takes place at 5.35pm the last at 8.45pm.
