Clissold park and house restoration project

An £8.9 million restoration will return the grade II listed building and grounds to their former 18th Century glory and introduce 21st Century facilities to meet the needs of today's visitors.

A new cafe, improved disabled access and function and community rooms are all included in the ambitious plans.

The wider improvements to the park will involve extensive maintenance of the river and lakes plus a new animal enclosure and a play and urban sports area.

Work starts in early 2010 and should be completed by summer 2011.
