Haringey Council has arranged for the painting of double yellow lines on Endymion Road just north of the park.

The lines have been added to prohibit vehicles from parking, waiting and unloading on the west side of Endymion Road between the first house on the road and the Pelican crossing.

Sergeant Jono Clay-Michael of Haringey Police said the area had "become a dumping ground for abandoned vehicles." Dumped cars were creating an obstacle in the road, and damage to the vehicles meant the street was littered with broken glass and debris. The new lines are intended to improve traffic flow and the general feeling of safety in the areaThe traffic regulations were requested as a result of discussions between the police and the Ladder Community Safety Partnership, a local Neighbourhood Watch group representing the interests of residents of the 19 ‘Ladder’ roads north of the park.

The LCSP meets on the second Thursday of every month at 7.30pm in St Paul’s Church Hall, at the corner of Cavendish and Wightman Roads. For more information, email lcsp@blueyonder.co.uk.
