In a recent interview with Virtual Festivals Vince Power (the self-proclaimed Godfather of live music) indicated that the Fleadh may make a come back.
"I think I might bring the Fleadh back. The Fleadh blossomed during the last recession in Ireland and now we've got a major recession on our hands and people are going elsewhere to get a job, I think it's a good time to bring back the Fleadh. Maybe not on the 30,000 level but maybe something like 15-20,000. I've already made enquiries into Finsbury Park".

ReportI remember the last one (2005) in Finsbury Park. It rained solidly throughout, but the crowd didn't seem too bothered.
Bob Dylan, supported by Counting Crows and the Charlatans. The Crows were fantastic but Bob was rubbish - so gravelly he was almost incomprehensible. And of course the Crows have a lot of songs about rain (Rain King, Raining in Baltimore) and lead singer Adam Duritz seemed to get a kick out of reprising the lot.
