Fun in the sun this weekend - what are your favourites?

The sun is shining brightly in the sky today, and the gorgeous weather is set to continue for the next few days, making us wonder - where are your favourite places to relax and enjoy the sunshine in Finsbury Park?

We're not saying a frosty pint is the only way to enjoy a summer's day, but it is a good place to start.
The park itself is certainly be a big draw on sunny days, with 46 hectares of open green space, planted gardens, sports facilities, children's playparks and the boating lake. Finsbury Park People who are feeling energetic this weekend can take advantage of the tennis and basketball courts, or just make use of the grassy area to the south of the park for informal kickabouts and casual games. We've spotted people playing cricket, badminton and frisbee in the sun recently - what are your favourite ways to enjoy the park?
Don't forget the 5km parkrun every Saturday at 9am - now that the weather's improving, the thought a training run in the open air might be less off-putting to new runners than it was in the depths of midwinter.
Those looking for a more relaxed way to enjoy the weather might like to enjoy one of Finsbury Park's outdoor bistros or beer gardens. Lots of the cafes around Stroud Green Road and Fonthill road have outdoor tables - our favourites include the quirky Front Room cafe on Tollington Park, and friendly Italian deli-bistro Flavour of Italy on Stroud Green Road. Both have outdoor seating, so you can relax with a latte and soak up the fine weather.
Plenty of local pubs have outdoor beer gardens so you can enjoy the delightful contrast between cold beer and warm weather at the weekend - we like the leafy, secluded, multi-level garden at the back of the Faltering Fallback on Perth Road. There's also an outdoor seating area at popular Irish pub The Twelve Pins on Seven Sisters Road just north of the station. Both pubs serve a full menu, and are open late at the weekends to give you plenty of time to enjoy your summer pint.
