You could be forgiven for thinking that Finsbusry Park's culinary spectrum stretches merely to the delights of chicken in a box or Turkish Kebabs.

Having explored a little I wanted to share 3 places with you that are excellent places to eat and hoped some of you could suggest some other places too. I'll start in distance from the Tube.

Dotori - Japanesse/Korean restaurant that is fantastically well priced. They do all your usuals like sushi, tempura, gyoza etc but also some really interesting other dishes like beef marinated in Pear and Soya sauce and served on a sizzling plate - you eat it by wrapping it in lettuce leaves - it's stunningly tasty. They also have lots of very good Korean hotpot dishes called Kimichi and Bibimbab that are well worth a try. A meal for 2 with 1 or 2 beers is about £40.

Good for food - this little place on Blackstock road serves great sandwiches, quiche, amazingg salads and cakes. It has a very pretty little garden at the rear where you can eat al fresco or a communal eating bench inside the shop. You can also bring your own wine and they charge £2 corkage. This is just really a lunchtime place but really recommend it if looking for something nicer than the average in the area and also a lovely place to go for a coffee.

Garufa - Argentinian steak house on Blackstock Road heading up the hill just past the Woodbine pub. The steak is fantastic, one of the best I've tasted in London and they also have a great range of Argentinian sausages - my fave being the Morcilla (black pudding). I took some friends there who live in Wapping and they have been back twice in a month. I can suggest goping on a Sunday lunchtime where they do a lunch offer of a ribeye and chips for aout £14 - eat it with the chimichutrri sauce, it's special.  The wine list is good but not cheap, but if you have a craving for an excellent steak then look no further.

I hope you go and try these out, I really enjoyed them and look forward to hearing what you think or suggestions of other places to go eat.

Yes, also like Good for Food, especially the soup. There are plans for this to expand to include a proper kitchen.

I like the Ethiopian restaurant next door - the standard dish is vegan ... and they don't skimp on the chilli.
