Lord Mayor's Show - Saturday 14th November
By lela34 | Friday, November 06, 2009, 16:19
This year’s Show will be livelier than ever. It begins at 10.53am with a one mile race in which London’s best young runners will represent their boroughs, then at 11am an RAF flypast will mark the start of the procession as Nick Anstee, the 682nd Lord Mayor of London, makes his way to the Royal Courts in the State Coach to pledge allegiance to the Crown.
At 3pm the City of London’s Guide lecturers offer guided walks around her labyrinth of ancient streets, and then at 5pm the Lord Mayor’s Fireworks display will light up the sky over the Thames.

I concur. Maybe they can re-schedule the fireworks for Christmas? ;)

ReportWhat a shame the fireworks were cancelled. I went all the way down to Embankment early to get a good spot, only to be met with stewards shouting that it was cancelled due to bad weather!
