Love Your Park!

How do you feel about your park? Loving the lifestyle or hating the litter? A place for moonlit walks or a somewhere to stay well clear of at night? Greenspace, www.green-space.org.uk, a registered charity enables you to have your say by visiting their GreenSTAT's website: www.greenstat.org.uk. GreenSTAT states that it "is a system that gives local residents the opportunity to comment on the quality of their open spaces and how well they feel they are being managed and maintained." Another exciting campaign they organise is Love Parks Week. Organise your own event or look out for events coming up between 25 July - 2 Aug. Finsbury Park currently has no registered events planned, so if anyone has any ideas, lets discuss here! By holding an event in a park, or even just attending one, you will be helping to send the message that parks are an essential part of every community. Lets get involved and feel the love! www.loveparksweek.org.uk

Parklife!
I'm a big fan of any piece of land where there is more vegetation per square meter than humans. Sadly, the grass has gone dry in my local park due to the hot weather, and I'd suggest to water it if it weren't for the current global water shortage.
Although, I'd like to think I play my part by picking up peoples' litter and talking to the occasional plant.
