Built in 1935 in a distinctive art-deco style, Hornsey Town Hall could be redeveloped as a cultural hub
The Town Hall, a listed 1930s building and popular local landmark, will be at the centre of plans to improve cultural services in Crouch End and the surrounding areas.
"We will be closely scrutinising the plans
to make sure they are able to deliver real change for the better, not
just for Crouch End, but for the whole of Haringey," said Councillor Claire Kober, leader of Haringey Council. "We encourage
everyone to take a close look at the plans and to have their say on
proposals."
The plans should be publicly available by the middle of next
week, and a public meeting about the development is planned for Thursday March 25 at the town hall building in The Broadway, Crouch End.
Following the meeting, plans will be on display in in Hornsey Library for further feedback. The planning application will be decided by councillors at a date to be confirmed.
