After windows were shot out at two clubs at the weekend, one in Hornsey Road and one in Seven Sisters Road, police decided that enough was enough and successfully applied for a court order for immediate closure of both premises.
Following appeals from the Turkish-Kurdish community police launched a massive raid on Tuesday afternoon which resulted in 11 arrests.
Detective Chief Inspector Adrian Usher said police were looking at the possibility that the recent violence is a result of "****-for-tat attacks".

ReportAccording to the Islington Gazette the clubs were both "Amsterdam-style cannabis cafes suspected of openly selling drugs to hundreds of people a day".
They were alledgedly each selling £10 bags of skunk to 150 customers a day - with Anadolum even offering punters a two-for-one deal!
Both social clubs had normal-looking pool saloons in the front but the back sections were sealed off by reinforced steel doors.
