It starts when a small group of motivated individuals within a community come together with a shared concern: how can our community respond to the challenges, and opportunities, of Peak Oil and Climate Change?

Transition Finsbury Park have set up a Growing Group who next meet at St John's Church, Gloucester Drive on Monday 27th July from 7.45pm - 9.15pm

They are currently focussing on the following project:

Finsbury Park Greenhouses - training courses, veg boxes, prolonged growing season

Jamboree Playhuts - food growing project involving children in fenced-off area near Finsbury Park entrance to the park

Mydletton Estate - explore opportunity for a community orchard or garden in central area

Parkwood Primary School - various projects in nursery class and throughout school

Gloucester Drive/Green Lanes - planting in empty raised flowerbed

John Scott Health Centre - plant fruit trees
