Transition Town Finsbury Park has been working recently on an exciting community project celebrating the Finsbury Park area. Over the last few weeks, the group has been asking
local peopl to submit one-minute video clips of
places and things that are important to them in the locality.
Groups and individuals from all walks of life have contributed to the project, including people from Finsbury Park Mosque, local schools and community
centres and ordinary members of the public.
The videos are now displayed on the Transition Finsbury Park Website website. The next stage in the project is to use the films, alongside still images also submitted by the public, to create interactive maps of the Finsbury Park area which will then
form an exhibition.
The workshop is organised by James Thomson from Transition Finsbury Park and Christophe Bruchansky from Curated Matter, and will take place on Wednesday 23 March at Green Lens Studios.
The workshop is free and everyone is welcome to get involved, but you should reserve your place first by registering on Facebook, using the online contact form, or calling on 07525 058881.
"This is a project including people of all ages and
backgrounds celebrating different aspects of the local area," said Transition Finsbury Park's James Thomson. If you would like to get involved and have any questions, you can get in touch with James on 0752 5058 881.
