Keep that tree green after Christmas with local recycling

Just because its needles have turned brown and dropped off all over your carpet doesn't mean your tree can't be green after Christmas - make sure you use one of the local council tree recycling programmes in Finsbury Park to reduce carbon emissions and feed the soil by mulching instead of burning.

Ever green.

Ever green.

Trees can be recycled at any of these local re-use and recycle centres:

40 Hornsey Street N7 8HU

35 High Street (opposite Greig City Academy) N8 7QB

or at these designated park locations from Saturday 2 to Sunday 17 January:

Finsbury Park

The Gardens Community Garden, Doncaster Gardens

Elthorne Park

Barnard Park

Islington residents can simply leave Christmas trees outside for collection along with other green waste from Monday 4 January. Haringey residents can also have trees collected with green garden waste, but trees must be cut into pieces no longer than 1 metre (3 feet) before being put out for collection.
