It's close to the station - really, really close! - and it's not bad. They serve decent enough lager, actually quite good wine by the bottle and though the food is pretty terrible pub fare they have table football which is always a bonus and surprisingly hard to find in London. Half of the pub is taken up with a giant screen which is presumably a good thing if you like football, which is on as often as anyone cares to play a game.

ReportI first came to The World's End in 1994, during which visit a live reggae band were playing "Soul Limbo" and Jack Dee was sitting miserably at the bar. It's hard for today's version to live up to that vision in my brain; but despite the constant dashing of my hopes in this regard, there's nothing actually wrong with The World's End.
It's big with plenty of seating, so we've never had a problem getting a table; it has big screen TVs for live football if you like that kind of thing; it will sell you beer and there's a range of resoundingly average pub grub for the hungry. Nothing vastly special, but nothing very bad either.
Live music is still a regular feature, although I haven't seen Mr Dee back in the place recently.
