The recently expanded Petek's restaurant on Stroud Green Road is a friendly, welcoming family establishment serving authentic Turkish cuisine. There's a wide range of hot and cold meze, and main courses include seasonal daily specials as well as a range of kebabs, vegetarian and seafood dishes.

The decor is cosy and quirky, with an eclectic collection of blown-glass lamps hanging from the ceiling and decorative crockery on the walls. Service is prompt and very friendly, and there's a good selection of wines and beers to accompany the hearty portions of food.

Petek's is now open for lunch as well as dinner in its new, larger premises, and it's great to see the place doing so well.
