A little slice of Italy in Stroud Green Road

I've been taking friends to Pizzeria Pappagone for two years now, and it's consistently a great place to go for either lucnh or dinner. The cuisine is robust and flavourful rather than fine, but the chief draw of Pappagone's is the authentic Italian atmosphere. Pages of the Gazetta Dello Sport line the walls, and the waiting staff are as jovial and exuberant as any you will find you will find in Milan or Rome.

The menu includes regional favourites such as Pollo al Diavolo (chicken in a spicy chilli sauce), and grilled swordfish as well as a long list of pizzas and pasta dishes served in generous portions.

Make sure you leave room for a dessert of delicious fresh gelato. Pappagone's also offers a wide range of Italian liquers and spirits to finish off your meal in local style.
