A little gem

I found the Triangle by accident, although I live just around the corner from it - and I'm glad I did!

I went there the first time with a friend, for a meal, as I was curious to find out more about this restaurant I'd only walked past for the first time a few weeks previously. It was a Sunday evening and pretty quiet.

The food was absolutely superb, the service excellent and the ambience wonderful.

I can't remember what I had that first time but it doesn't matter because the whole menu is yummy and needs to be worked through with each visit.

The second time I went was on New Year's Eve and it was even better. Nice crowd, belly dancer and the staff just as nice and giving individual attention as when the place was almost empty. It also happened to be my dad's 71st birthday so they arranged for a cake to be served with candles, and a special belly dance for him.

The I then went twice more, with two different sets of friends (the last time there was a child too). Both these times it was busy and we hadn't booked, but they still managed to squeeze us in. As always, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were very friendly, even providing amusement for the child with crayons and colouring sheets.

The food has always been at the top of the scale. It's not the cheapest restaurant I've ever been to but nor is it at the opposite end, and it's certainly worth a few more pounds - for the food, the warmth, the welcome, and the place itself that makes you feel cosy but not crowded (even when it is very busy), comfortable and almost at home. On top of that, it has the best toilets I've ever seen in a restaurant!
