As we reported in January, Haringey Council's planned consultation with residents about plans for ten new

5-a-side football pitches in Finsbury Park is now underway.

The proposed pitches would be

located near the Endymion Road entrance and could also accommodate netball, hockey and tag rugby games. The plans also include new parking spaces for up to 83 cars.

As well as gauging general favour for the pitch proposals, the consultation includes an opportunity for feedback on the look and feel of the new development and use of funds. The consultation survey can be completed online here.

More information about the proposed scheme, including plans, can be found at this page.

Will the pitches benefit the area, or is there plenty of organised sport in the park already? Do you think facilities should be fully public, or do you support the idea of a private developer running the pitches? Let us know below!
